I have a question

Why is there ZERO consistency with vids? I dont know why, but some mod loves to move certain vids to certain sections but others remain on the vid and pic sections. I dont understand. If you are going to move one orgs vids to their section then how about move all the orgs vids the their section too?

Just a thought.

Or leave them in the vids and pic section since an individual posted them and not an employee of said org.

Report what Greg? That someone posted a video and a mod moved it?

IMO vids from a track day org should not be moved to the trackday orgs section unless it is a video specifically promoting that trackday org.

if it is simply a video of a few laps on the track, i do not see why it needs to be places in the orgs section.

i go to the org's section for info and updates on the org, not to see videos of peoples laps

No, but he has a point. I go to the vids forum to watch vids of people here that I know (and most that I don't know). I go to the trackday org forums if I need to know info about them.

Going to their forum to find a vid of a buddy of mine from a trackday doesn't make sense.

Again, this is all assuming the video isn't flat out promoting the track day. If it just states in it where the video was taken, that shouldn't warrant it being moved.

Just my opinion. *shrug*

I move the vids.

If it is at a TTD, then it goes in the TTD section. Plain as that.

I dont care who posts it. Employee or not. Just keep it all in the right section. How hard can it be?

Then how about a sub section for videos in the sponsors forum?

as with other sponsors, and as others have stated as well, the track day orgs use their section to get info out to their customers. the videos clutter threads actually pertaining to that org.

every person that takes a pic of their bike the bought from Tejas doesn't get moved to the Tejas section. Every person who gets some parts on at Motorcycles Unlimited doesn't get their pics moved to the Motorcycles Unlimited thread.

I think maybe a Vids/Pics section for sponsors (that wish to have such) would be great

For instance all the YPC pics could go in that section and actual discussion on powdercoating could be in the root YPC thread.
Same for vids/pics from trackdays from each org. Seeing as how at least a few threads of pics get posted from almost every track day. Not even counting the videos that get posted.

Well...I am not a reporting post kind of guy. But since your 65 mods can't see everything, but somehow manage to see every niner seventy niner dot com post, every thread in the off topic section, every boobie thread not marked NWS, every GB thread, etc...I will help them with the moto related video stuff.

Here are the threads that are out of place.

http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=91109
http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=89642
http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=88444
http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=89218
http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=89218

http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=87628
http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=86713

http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=85502
http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=84835

That's just back to 3/1/09. There are more...but I have the off topic section to get to and dont have time to dig further. I will say that it took all of 3 minutes to find these.

Hope this helped.

Oh yea...and this should probably be moved too.
http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=93368

We wouldnt want more than just a few people seeing it. So put it in the sponsor section.

Ok...I'll relax now.
