if you try this, use an old gun, and check the bore before the shot to see if the dimes even fit. Im sure this would cause some scarring to your barrel, so don't use a nice gun. BTW, at close range this almost sounds logical, but at any distance the areodynamics of the dimes would be fugged up. Rapid loss of velocity and prolly a huge spread.

In your fantasies, you are the hero and the bad guys always die. Reality is different.

Over twenty years ago, I had a friend who thought like most of you and went armed. One night something happened at his home and he was shot with his own gun. The police got the person, but with only one side of the story, the DA accepted a manslaugter plea and a five year sentence. I don't know what my friend was protecting but it wasn't worth his life. For me, it wasn't worth twenty years of lost friendship.

Be careful. Remember what you can lose.

sometimes that happens, I'll be damned if I let my family get assaulted because I was scared of my own gun killing me. the perps will get you if they want and there are a lot of them out there. I'll take my chances and stay armed to the teeth, Yankee, I hope trouble never crosses your path and I'm sorry for your friend

They are 3" shells. I keep those in my gauge along with some 3" Magnum 000 Buckshot. They do the trick for most home defense applications. Then there is always the glock and the walther to back it up.
thats what i need
