passing in the same lane?

So I was on 610 right by the galleria last night round 830pm. I was going round ~80 in the left lane and two squids just zoomed by me in the same lane, one was on a busa and the other one was on a gsxr, can't tell if it was a 600 or 750. T-shirt, shorts, sneakers. No helmet, one guy had bandana covering his mouth.

They kinda made me jumped when they passed. I heard them coming but didn't realize they were in my lane. The traffic was somewhat heavy and they just weaving lanes to lanes. I do that some times too but I don't share lane with another motorcycle that I am not riding with. Is that normal behavoir? Hope they are not on here...

You've got arsewipes on 2 and 4 wheels. I consider someone passing me in the same lane, w/o warning & my ok the same as a car trying to pull into the lane/me.

Pretty simple when it comes right down to it - that is MY lane. You share it with me, or pass me in it, with my permission. You violate that rule, and you are endangering my life - and by logical extension, your own.

Yes, I have been known to follow cagers who have pulled that and explain to them in no uncertain terms why that was a VERY bad idea.

I pulled up beside two squids the other night down here, both in shorts and polo shirts and of course no helmets. One was on a gsxr 600 and the other an 09 white/red r6. I pulled in the lane next to them and said "nice 09" He said "thanks, I just got it". Then the light turned green and we pulled off. About half a mile down the road they both drop a gear and pass me in my fuggin lane fast and their was loud, scared the outta me! If I woulda known they were coming I woulda kicked the outta their bikes on the way by.. I don't like messing with peoples bikes and or cars but I really can't stand dickheads like that...

If there is nobody to my right and they are approaching fast I will move over on the far left incase they are dumb enough not to use the other lane. Someone weavin thru traffic that doesn't take tire shreads, 2x4s, junk on the road that isn't in thier immediate line-of-sight when passing will get what's coming to them eventually.

I ride in the left side of the lane and was about to exit off the Interstate when a dumbazz and passenger on a Harley passed me on the right as I was getting off. Closest to death I have come on 2 wheels trying to avoid hitting the barrier. He looked back and took off.

I've had it happen very rarely. Usually it isn't an issue but when people try to do it I drift into them.

Yup - that pretty much describes it.

People passing in my lane have made a very big assumption (usually wrong) about me knowing they are coming by.

That is my biggest pet peeve when riding with others. It's MY lane. All the way across. Don't get next to me or near me unless I'm stopped or stopping. And I know I'm right, because Pam (Vmaxgirl) told me so.

For instance: There was a dead thing in the road that I needed to move over to avoid. Thank I looked before I got into the left side of MY lane, because there was a bike there- I had to ride right next to the dead thing instead.
