Riders beaware

Just like cops lookout for one another.

Consider this the same.

They're out to get you and everyone else. They're way below the quota and the city is in desperate need of $$ and the shortage of cops is hurting the city aswell.

Cops are doing their best to cut as many tickets as posiible. So even if you're driving slow it down, atleast for next 3 days or so till the month ends.

HA! Posts like this make me laugh. What Dept are you referring to when you make this statement. There are more than 260 law enforcement agencies in Harris county, so which one hasn't met it's quota? If you are referring to The City Of Houston then they are always in need of money, which is nothing new. Dude there is no monthly quota, or any quota for that matter. Heres my advice. Have your drivers license, m endoresement, and proof of insurance and you should be good to go. If you drive a car, same thing sans the m endorsement, and have your seatbelt on and stickers current. These are by far the most common tickets and ones that can be easily avoided.

Yep, and exactly keep your legit all stickers up to date and everything. Don't speed in areas unfamiliar. Like on I-10 there is always a cop in the am hours on the shoulder with his gun drawn. To be exact I-10 and studemonte going Westbound. Needless to say he will be gone in a few days when the month ends. My bike and car they both are legit but ins. expired so i'm not riding at the moment.

If you ain't right, stay low for awhile.

Oh and to the guy who i quoted. CITY OF HOUSTON HAS A QUOTA SYSTEM. News to you?

I got a ticket for no insurance a couple days ago for dps.. I JUST bought a car, I mean, like 30 minutes before.. was driving it home and he pulls me over, I show him my receipt with the date, the title, the 30-u, my drivers license and insurance card and the STILL wrote me a ticket. Bah, I think in this case it was more a matter of "I've been asleep for the last 2 hours and need to hurry up and belt a ticket out to justify my time" than a quota thing.

He said "I'm giving you a ticket for no insurance anyways because this car isn't on your policy, just go down and dismiss it next week." He said the original pull over was because my license plate lights didn't work, after we were done I pulled back onto the highway, went about a quarter mile (he could still see me) and pulled back over and checked, they were bright as the sun, I was so off, grrrrrrr.

Not hating on the police or anything, I'm glad we have them, but I can understand after what happened then why some people do not like them.
