Lookout in Galveston

Just got back from G-town and if you plan on going better wear a helmet because the GPD Motorcycle cops are pulling other motorcyclist over for no helmet I assume(haha). That was over on the seawall where I seen 4 motocops that had bikers pulled over and coincidentally none of them had helmets on. Just a heads up.

Good. Only one of two ways for someone to realize a helmet really is necessary.

Getting a ticket or cracking their head open.

well im not sure if they can pull it up so dont be a fkn dumbass if you dont have one. you gonna go to work with no shoes? funny how people are. lets not wear a helmet so we can look cool, then when you get a ticket or you get in an accident and your family has to pull the plug.

it has to do with insurance not msf. you have to have like either an extra 10,000$ or 100,000$ insurance policy seperate from whatever your job or other provides. then you are issued a sticker for your plate. no sticker = ticket.

You have to have EITHER $10,000 dedicated medical insurance OR an MSF certificate.

Either one will get you the exemption sticker for your license plate.

And get ready, you're going to see a lot more of this in the coming months.

If you don't want to wear a helmet, just pay the $5 and get the friggin sticker. Save the hassle.

stated above is the law. but in g-town they done go by this. i got a ticket about a month ago there. i had my MSF certificate and they still gave me a ticket. the cop said the only way i dont have to wear a helmet is to have the helmet exempion sticker. well the cops down there, even motorcycle cops, dont even know the law. well i called the court house and all i had to do was send a copy of my MSF course card and then it was dismissed. Well i sent it in and they dismissed it. g-town cops are straight up dicks and i know i didnt have to pay the ticket but it was the hassel that me off. well now i have a sticker though, so im good to go

Or maybe they're just sick of wiping up the little brain that floats out of a cracked skull of those idiots who don't wear helmets after an accident?

You have to use the cert to get the sticker. It's still your fault- buy the sticker if you don't want a ticket for it.
