The RR got racier ergos, a 599 cc engine (tuned for racing,of course) when the R has 636cc. I believe head angle is different, the RR ismore agressive.

The RR has both high and low speed compression damping on the shock, the shock is ride height adjustable, the trans. gearing is a little different. The rake and trail numbers are slightly different.

Motor wise the head is a little different, the motor has 13.9:1 VS 12.9:1 compression, the throttle bodies are 38mm VS 43MM on the 636.

Aside from those items they're pretty much the same, both have slipper clutches, 300mm front rotrs, radial brakes and both weigh the same.

The 636 by virtue of it's extra cc has more torque, and is a better street bike than the RR IMO.

Patrick, you guru, how can the RR with 13.9:1 compression run on pump gas? Sorry if this is off topic, but that has been eating my brain and if anyone knows, you will!

posers should get the RR since two R's side by side look better.
