New Helmet?

I've decided i'm getting a new Helmet. I've owned a Scorpion 700, a Shoei RF1000, an Arai corsair rx-7, an HJC Carbon.

out of those helmets honesty my fave would have to be either the shoei *it's been 2 years since I had it stolen so its hard to remember*
or the scorpion

Honestly the Arai is the loudist helmet I've ever owned and I wont be buying another so ..

whats everyone's suggestions? I wear a M in most helmets but I can fit in a L.

and it looks like my bike is staying Blue for now till I either trade or sell or just keep it.

if you like the rf1000, the x11 is all the same things but better.

Sound is my #1 thing, if it's loud I don't want it, period.

I paid like 500 for my Arai and not only is it loud when the visor is down but when it's up the thing whistles like i'm standing next to a NBA ref.

the x11 is quieter than the rx7. but if wind noise bothers you that much, you should be wearing earplugs anyways. riding a bike is loud. doesn't matter what helmet you're wearing.

I hear what you are saying but considering summer temps in Houston I prefer my Helmets to be well vented. Unfortunately that makes them loud, nothing that earplugs can't resolve though.

rf1000 have had several. right now im rocking a agv gp tech and man it feels so good. not loud great venting. and carbon kevlar shell makes for one light helmet. probably the lightest i have ever tried on

and I do wear ear plugs 75% of the time I ride, but most of the time when I'm only riding down the street or not hitting the freeway I dont wear them so I'm looking for a quite helmet.

I just bought my second X11 a week ago. I LOVE them and will probably never go back to anything else. IF you size it right, it's not really that noisy, and the ventilation is probably about the best on the market. I can feel air running through the vents across my head while rolling almost slow enough to fall over.

Anyone willing to let me borrow their X11 for a weekend? I'd let you borrow my Arai RX-7.

or we could just ride to gavleston go eat and then come back that would be plenty of time to know if I Liked the helmet.

By second X11, I meant that I sold my other one (red Kiyonari edition) to buy a solid black one. I am down to only one helmet now and mine is an XL anyway. Check with Forgottnsoul. He lives in League City and has a spare helmet he can wear plus a large X11. He is always up for a ride, so maybe you guys could hit the road for a bit . I'm sure he'd let you wear it to try it out.
