You could even have the members donate for wrist bands to offset BBQ expence unless it Sol's treat or something. Anything I can do to help make it happen, let me know.
Anyone else like to come out on Friday for a look see and ride, guest fee is 150.00. Sol I've got yours if you can make it. (Is that blatant sucking up?)

$150 just to come and watch???

Nevermind, I see the word ride before it now

I don't think it's 150 for BBQ and to watch the track rides.
I'm sure we could all chip in a bit and make this an event to remember.

Hey Buck,
how many people you have to have to set up a motohouston track day?
Just curious.

I can do a track day with anyone who wants to ride on a day I'm going out anyway for 150.00 and it's very loose. If you want to put something together with your buds I'd like to see at least 10 and the price is 200.00 pp with half hour session, usually around 6-8 sesssions total. You get some instruction if you want it and I'll usually shoot some video laps for ya'll as well, if I can keep up. If you wanted a strictly MotoHouston trackday I'd need at least 55 to cover at 175.00 pp and we could set that up anyway you want as far as groupings. Might be able to set up a MH session at a regular scheduled trackday if there was enough inerest, around 25 guys for that to happen.

I might not be ready to ride but I'd love to give it a go.
But I had no idea track days cost so much.

Price is why it's refered to as the "Track Pipe". I've seen people go through all sorts of troubles just to make it out to the track. There is a funny story about Haner crashing pretty badly in T8a at TWS (Texas World Speedway), then getting back on for the restart. Someone asked him how he could pull it together like that, he says, "...End of the month,I got rent."
Sadly the entry is usually the beginnig for most guys out there.

Trackday entry............................................. ....... 160.00
Travel to TD................................................ .....+/- 80.00
Oil,filter, tape, etc............................................... ....25.00
Leathers(Good ones!).........................................+/-900.00
Helmet (Good one!)............................................. ....450.00
Boots (Good ones!)............................................ .....225.00
Gloves(You get it..)............................................. ...125.00
Race Rubber(SINFUL decadence) .........................+/- 350.00
Private lessons........................................... ............350.00+

Turning your personal best ever lap............................Priceless

There really is nothing that compares to the rush of the road course. Somebody once said that sportbike riders would be the guys in Ferarri's if they had the dough. Just the same, the best place to let your bike(or your Ferarri) run the way it was built to run is on a track. There are levels for everyone, come check it out and I know you'll leave saying , "I can go that fast" , with a hint of sarcasm.

I am not sure I understand, if I wanna come out and ride its 150-200 dollars!? dayum and you want 55 folks or more? [grabs calculator ]
man o man, I would love to ride around, but , for 200, I could do a few mods, or I could go race the bike at the dragstrip for 15. entry.
I am not going crazy on ya, just dont understand how anybody can afford to play.
, even the rockcrawling events we used to play at were no where near that expensive, and there is a ton of money in the rigs we bring, so its not like a bunch of cheapos looking for freebies.
I am just blown away at how expensive it is for a ride around. DAYUM!
reckon you won't see the turbo harley tooling around any time soon.
of course I'll come for the BBQ and I'll pay more than my share for that to help out.
good luck with your track, I'm sure it will do well even without me

I know it sounds like alot to you guys, but it's really a bargain compared to the cost of a full blown membership. Road courses aren't cheap, and the owners charge these organizers a grip to use the tracks for these events. You'd be amazed how easy it is to save up a couple hundred every few months if you cut back here and there. Trust me, it's worth every penny.

Trash, it's not my track thank goodness, I've got enoough to say grace over as it is. I jsut run the M/C school part of it.
Scorpio you've got that right. Memberships start at 7k,+150 a month dues, +30 session fee each day you ride, so trackdays are cheap compared to that.

Don't get me wrong guys, lots of guys show up on thier bikes and ride their street tire and rent the gear from Patrick for I think 100.00 a set for the day. You'll have a blast either way, but I warn you, it is a very powerful addiction.
