crf50 w/ crf70 motor - worth the trade?

crf50
'04 Honda CRF50 /w a CRF70 motor swap (hes asking $850)...has bigbar kit, looks like maybe a headlight, and handbrake? I don't know, didn't ask the guy yet.

He also said the throttle cable is broken, but he is looking for a new one to replace it with for me to do the trade....I'm just wondering, can you guys tell from the pics if its a crf70 motor, and would it be worth trading my computer for it? I'm completely new to 50's, but i want to get into stunting them.

here is my computer for sale link...http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=91199

i would change those forks to stock, You need to check and make sure the frame is not bent, measure from the steering stop to the front of the top motor mount. I cant remember the measurement, Ill check and post it in the morning.

do you know what kind of forks those are, since I'm assuming you can tell from the pic they aren't stockers.

and also, the steering stop? do you mean like where the handle bars pivot? or where? once you reply back with the correct measurements I'll ask the guy to measure from where the steering stop is (i dont know where that is though) to the top motor mount and to let me know what the measurement is.

the guy is in Dallas, so i don't want to meet halfway and then have a fk'd up 50 for sure. I appreciate the help.

I'll put $20 that the bike isn't an 'authentic' Honda... the rake on the front end alone is pretty steep (those are cheap knock off forks)

and if the guy says he 'raced' it and thats why he put on the 70 motor then thats a joke too...

that bike is a used $499 chinese pos from the side of the road....

unless your computer is only worth about $150/200... then I would pass on the bike

The 70 front end will raise the bike. But I dont think the 70 front end came in black. It might be painted. I will check pac for pics later.

looks like brand-x minis (knock-off bbr) forks(150.00 retail). The only reason for installing these would be dirt racing/riding, which would lead me to believe the frame may be "choppered", is why I suggested the measurement.

It looks to me to be a real honda, with brand x forks, if it is cheap I would buy it, The frame can be fixed, and the forks can be replace with stock fairly easy. What rear shock?
