Arrow For or Against

It really won't define an individual if they wear one or not. Your bike, your leathers, your vehicle. It doesn't make a squat as long as they respect everybody else on or off the track or street. You can dress like a clown if you like. I'd rather ride with someone with character than a tasteless bore, that's why I don't hate on other people's personality. Show some respect! Ride groups always have some kind of similar style. You have your stretch rear guys, the bike won't turn but it sure goes fast in a straight line. Then your cruizer with your tassels and chrome with your vest. It's really all the same. At the track we all look alike too so quit hatin and give them some respect as long as they're not dissin on you! Opinions screw up ideals! Ricky464

Mohawk?

I'm probably as far away from mohawks as you can get. Getting close to 50 yo, married 26 years, WASP, wear all-the-gear-all-the-time, etc.

But you know what? It's your head, so who am I to say your mohawk is wrong? I will form a strong opinion on you if you're not wearing a good helmet, riding jacket, boots and gloves. Or if you're stunting / racing in traffic. But color schemes? Style? I really don't care - , have fun.

On another note - and yes, it'll start flames, I'm sure - what's with the gay bashing here? Are you young squid punks so insecure that you wouldn't ride with someone gay? Why - afraid he's gonna stare at your scrawny ? Yea - and worry about riding with women for the same reason - we're all so f###ing irresistably sexy.

Wear a mohawk, be gay, be black, be a Jew, be female - , even be a Liberal Democrat - we can still go riding and if you ride like a pro, I'll respect your riding. We won't try to convert each other. But if you act and ride like a , I'll dis you even if you're a male white middle-aged married gun-toting Republican.

I think that is the best point yet.

But I'm going to further the stereotype...9 times out of 10 that I see someone sporting a mohawk they are on a gixxer. Maybe its just me...idk

Just looked back at the thread and most that said they have one are on gixxxahs.

+1

now i don't have mohawk on my helmet but personally i think it says at least alittle bit about your personality. I don't think people wearing them are squids or attention whores or reckless riders by any means... people life is way too short not to have fun and do what makes you happy. If you like the mohawk then rock it!!! There are alot of things poeple judge other people on.. But a mowawk on their helmet.. really? I respect everyone's opinion. Everyone's got one. Some people should do the same.

I live with a lesbian couple, and I STILL call things gay. Its just one of those words that people have bastardized the meaning of. Its not necessarily gay bashing.

Yes it is. When people go out of their way to "wear" their personality, you can.

Just like people pick out different colored jackets to ride in?
