Mohawks = Stupid, Gay and Dumb?

I have a long-time riding friend who told me over the weekend that, no matter how he tries, he just can't take anyone wearing a mohawk on his/her helmet seriously. He said he doesn't consider anyone who wears a mohawk to be a true motorcyclist; he considers them to be (generally) young punks and squids. He also says that no self-respecting motorcyclist would be caught wearing a mohawk.

Mohawks aren't my thing, but don't know if I subscribe fully to his thought process.

Discuss.

Mohawks = Gay.

I wouldn't call someone "not a true motorcyclist" for wearing one, but I will let them know that mohawks are retarded on helmets

Didn't the Gay Biker's Association come out and say that the helmet mohawk was their National Symbol?

I don't care about them 1 way or another. I wouldn't wear one but I don't think poorly of people that do.

Meh, ain't my helmet. I don't really base my opinions on people until they open their mouths. Mohawk or not, so long as they aren't riding like complete douche bags then what does it matter.

Hey hey hey! Why do you have to hate on the mohawks?

Why do you have to hate? Some people like steched bikes, some like hondas, some like loud exaust and some like mohawks. To each his own.

I like to be goofy and show it and it makes me smile as well as other people that see it going down the street. Its nice to give someone the hello kittah and see them smile at me and my hawk.

I like it and I do what I want! :P

Personally I wouldn't wear one, but I won't ride a suzuki either - Its just a matter of personal preference. Like anything else though, if you're gonna wear one, atleast make sure it matches and looks good. I saw a guy with one of the suctioncup 'hawk that was all crooked and zigg/zagged its way down his helmet.

X2 all of the above. Just me personally, i also think they are pretty queer. Just way to much of a "hey look at me" item for my taste, just not my style personally.

I will say i dont actually think less of the person or anything, but yes when i see it i think "uh yeah, your cool," but i dont hate on the dude or say anything unless i knew the person well.
