You Like Motorcyclists Because You Ride A Motorcycle, But What If You Didn't?

Texas House takes up HB 1569 today which bars owners of restaurants, bars, hotels and motels from barring motorcycle riders and members of motorcycle clubs from their establishments just because they are motorcyclists.

You can review the language here:

Businesses can still kick you out for being a douche and/or not buying their product.

The starbux deal isnt the "business" owner, it's the "property" owner/ manager. At a dive bar it would probably be the owner discriminating but in a private parking lot (like starbux) with several businesses they can do whatever they want. If they don't want 18 wheelers in their parking lot then they can refuse to allow them to park there... but they can't refuse to serve them because of their form of transportation.

If I wasnt a motorcyclist I would probably be a hater. The first time a squid wheelied between two cars on the highway I would be calling the cops.

AS PER YOUR TITLE...(didn't mean to yell)

You Like Motorcyclists Because You Ride A Motorcycle, But What If You Didn't?

I think it's flawed.

I do ride a motorcycle. But I don't have to like motorcyclists.

, I'm not even sure I like people in general.

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought privately owned businesses could reserve the right to serve anyone?

They have a right to refuse business to any one individual for whatever specific reason, but they can't refuse service to a group of people just becuase they're all the same race//bikers/etc...They can't discriminate against a whole class of people.
