sv650 throttle q:

is there any way to smoothe the on/off throttle transition?
this is for a 1st gen. would the r6 throttle tube mod do it?

I don't know if the mod will work, but I have some thoughts you could try.

I'm thinkin' your bike has carbs, but even with fuel injection, have they been synch'ed?
With carbs a richer jet can help, since they are often set up very lean at the factory, to meet emissions regs.
Finally carrying a little more RPM in a turn, can help eliminate that annoying stumble off idle.

Motorcycles Unlimited just did my carbs this month- (last month?)
my sv has always done it. its just bothersome

im used to it. i just wish i didnt have to be.
im only talking about rolling on the throttle, btw. like coming from a parking spot or leaving a stop

The R6 is simply a quicker turn and it's not going to cure the issues you're describing here.

Sounds like you need some jetting/ carb work done.
