unless you are going to go drag racing I would not do it. 6-9" stretch with just extensions is a little much IMO. if your dead set on it, spend the dough and replace the whole swingarm with a stretched one.

I've read mixed reviews on the extensions. Some believe those are not for riding use only for show use. Others believe and have raced/ridden with them. IMO alot of leverage is put on the swingarm, and would not trust an aftermarket "clip" to not fail at speed.

As others have stated, extending a 600 is strictly for show, no performance reasons, and it will make the bike not want to turn.

a 600 w extention would help in suppressing a full throttle wheelie on a strip. Strapping the front end would help alot more. Trap times would improve dramatically; we have some members on here w extended 600s.

As for what Tiatool said, I agree. Extensions are usually set up for 4-6inches. they usually say 'show use only' like any other product because they dont want the liability for it breaking under pressure.

its your bike do with it as you like. to some people on this site if your not doing track days then theres no reason to ride. if you do deside to go with extentions dont ride passengers. and just cause its stretched does not mean it will not turn, it just wont go down as far.
