its not the material. its the stitching at the seems.

i have torn 2 sets of the walmart stuff. the underarmour has given me no issues. the walmart stuff also doesnt hold up very well after many washes, 5 washes so far on the underarmour and no issues or coming apart at all.

both will work, but the underarmour is better made.

underarmor for long sleeve for sure. It makes getting leathers on and off easier.

I saw a local here in Doha wearing what looked to be a padded long sleeve "shirt/jacket" of sorts that goes underneath your jacket. It looked pretty snazzy and looked to add some decent protection as well. It was black, very tight fitting and looked to have many small pads throughout the arms, back and chest. Anyone have any idea what these things are? I wanted to pick one up to wear under my leather jacket.

Hrmm..I just checked out their bionic line. One of those jackets may be it, but I thought it was more of a heavily padded shirt when I saw it. I'll keep looking around. I was looking to see if there was something available to wear Under my leather jacket.

Bingo! However, I did buy the longsleeve UA upper.
I scored some UA style leggings @ Academy for like $5.
I wear the compression shorts under those.
Before I wore the leggings, I just wore compression shorts and REALLY thin basketball shorts. Worked fine for me.
Hope that helps.

I dont ride track, but when I raced S/C I would wear UA from academy under my firesuit. Once you sweat a lil it actually keeps you pretty cool.... Good Luck
