Advantage of 50's over 70's?

I'm thinking about picking up a 50 or a 70 to play around on but don't know what the advantages or disadvantages are. I'll mostly be stunting it/setting up a road course in the commuter lot at school with some buddies.

What are the advantages/disadvantages to the 50's over the 70's or vise versa?

Which would you recommend?

What bike/brand would you recommend?

Thanks,
Kane S.

So there aren't really any advantages or disadvantages to one over the other? I just thought that there must be some reason why everyone has 50's instead of 70's. It seems to me like a 70 would be more fun simply because it has a little more power, but I could be wrong.

50s are easier to stunt, parts are everywhere, they are light and easy to pick up and throw in a vehicle, motor is virtually the same 50/70. Street tires are cheap for 50s, not for 70s.

70s are better for off road use.

I think it's dumb to say you want to learn to 'stunt'... buy a 50... and then say... "it's too slow"... you didn't buy it to be fast, you bought it to learn balance, brake control, and technical form that you can carry over to a larger bike.

yes, it's easier to wheelie a bike with more power, but guess what, your 600, 1000, has more power right? so then back to the beginning... why buy a 50?

sorry, it just annoys me to hear people complain about needing more power, or speed, or whatever... it takes away the whole principle of "learning on a 50"
