uuummmh, what about an all Texan team: Colin and The Ben in Tech 3, now that would be good.

My best guess is that maybe it helps him to get the bike to turn in by pulling his body weight over to the side that his leg is extending.
Any theories?
As he gets closer to the end of a race, he becomes more excited so, he has to stretch a little, to ease his .

I think it is a timing thing. Kind of like a step for a batter in baseball.

Good thought but I saw Pederosa doing this long before Rossi started doing it...

I always equated it with Pederosa crashing since he seemed to do it more when he was about to or did crash

Stoner has done it for a while as well.

On another note, I've come to the conclusion that Hayden's issues with Honda weren't b/c of the bike, the team, or the teammate... He's on another BADASS team and bike and he finished 15th???? I think he's no longer cut out for MotoGP. The one-man pseudo-broke Kawi team with Melandri finishes 5th and Hayden is 15th? Come on...

Nicky has never liked the 800s.

Plus, the Ducati is still being developed to a certain degree. Hayden isn't exactly a developmental rider....so to speak. Plus, the Ducati fits Stoner's riding style a little more, which could help explain Stoner's big advantage over his team mate the last 2 seasons.

There are a number of reason, seen and unseen, we could point to for Nicky's performance, or lack there of. Honestly.....I think it's just been a string of bad luck for Hayden.

Let's see how fast you ride with broken bones and stitches still in your shoulder.

I'm sorry, I didn't know I wasn't allowed to voice my opinion unless I can ride as well as he does. Nevermind, Hayden is teh best!!111!!1

I would like to see him do well but he just doesn't anymore. It's always one thing or another. If it's luck, then he's the unluckiest racer I know. :(

Well, kinda, he did a fantastic job developing the 990 and the 800 for Honda. It was no secret that he was a mule for them, even when they designed the new bike around Mr Roboto.

The Duc actually does suit his riding style better, he's the exact type of rider that the bike reacts to- bucking/ spinning/ sliding/ huge power all are typical descriptions of Nicky's riding prior to the "fly by wire" computer controls took over completely.

I'm a big fan of Nicky, and he has has some terrible luck, but I have to say that the Ducati move hasn't been a very good one thus far and I thought it would be a match made in heaven.

All that said, it's a loooong season and there is time for things to change. I hope it does.
