When Rossi was fastest in warm up, I figured he had found something and would make a good race with Pederosa and Lorenzo. I was a bit surprised with Lorenzo's performance- he wasn't looking too brilliant at all and the crash was really strange looking...

Man, Rossi just absolutely schooled them all.

Nothing from commentators, we haven't heard lorenzo's story though.

i'm glad to see Marco do well. Never really cared for him in the past but you gotta give it to him this year taking into consideration everything that has happened to his "team".

Also, Dovi is an animal. ran off and had to start from the back- finished 8th. he's got some skillz, y0!

Race day temps were higher which is the only thing they can attribute so far to Lorenzo's drop in pace, his fastest race lap was 0.3s slower than Rossi's!!

Rossi & crew drastically changed the ride height of the bike over Saturday night despite objections from the Japanese,
a little fine tuning after morning warm up and Rossi had what he needed
Danny pretty much accused him of sandbagging in qualifying in the post race interview

Rossi's interview snippet,
"I like to thank my team for my bike and my settings,
today I can from the start to the finish go ****ing fast!"

The BBC did a piece on the unclothed Pramac GP9 and in particular the Carbon frame or lack of it, what a work of art

Why is it nobody but Stoner can regularly get that thing up to speed,
Hayden, Kalio and cannapa were nowhere

So is Rossi pushing harder than he has EVER done before or is this a feature of his present riding style????
In all the years I've watched Rossi, from his 125 debut up, I've never seen him hanging his leg as much as he does now.
It used to be referred to as his stressometer, only seen when he was really really close to the limit and a bit hot but now we see him doing it all the time it seems!!
Riding style me thinks

I blame this all on you. You cursed him.

On the real note, I was really glad the way he was performing and then the lowside, if was effed up.

Riding style me thinks
During an interview they asked him about his foot dragging on a more regular basis- he said it "makes me feel more comfortable when I'm braking hard" or something similar in his broken English.

I won't be trying to emulate that any time soon methinks, I think it makes them look like they're out of control and fixin' to toss the bike down the track.

Great race.

I was surprised to see Stoner sorta keeping up.

Hats off to both Dovi and Melandi for doing what they could in a situation.

Pedrosa is still really fast at that track, but it wasn't enough to hold off the

We were discussing this yesterday also.
My best guess is that maybe it helps him to get the bike to turn in by pulling his body weight over to the side that his leg is extending.
Any theories?

It's weird, so many of the top racers are doing it in MotoGP too...

Melandri was the star of the day for me, awesome ride (and Bradley Smith in the 125's taking his first win by a huge margin)
but what does it say about the Ducati
Melandri and Spies for 2010 Tech3 yamaha well that's what I'm hoping
