sometimes I would much rather go back to riding a 2-stroke...but for most part I love my 4 strokes. The first thought of tearing into the motor is a bit intimidating, but once you do it once, you realize how simple our motors are, and it is all very simple. Adjusting valves isn't anything more than removing a bunch of to get to a valve cover, measuring, adjusting with a shim (looks like a dime with varying thicknesses), and then putting it all back together. Not much harder than an oil change, maybe a bit more time consuming. I'd rather check valves than clean an air filter.
Regardless of what you get, lets go ride!
