Yea says the man that went down with no gear
Not trying to be but no need for idiot remarks I can afford a 600 dollar helmet if I wanted to but I have done my research and it's what I want and that's the price I found it for

I know you're looking in the 150 range, but I've also seen some great deals on Shark RSR2 helmets at around 250. I've heard nothing but good things about these helmets. The one I tried on at Cycle Gear was very nice. Unfortunately my head was more comfortable in an X11. At least that's what I explained to my wife.
I picked up a brand new RSR2 form motorcyclecloseouts for $199.00, it's the best lid i have hands down

Exo400 is great. I own one and noise cancelling is great, vents well, kinda heavy at certain points but my only complaint is the cheek pads pushes my cheeks ^up. Very well priced for construction quality. Just dont get the blue Octane, (you dont want to look like me)

Icon are awesome, more pricy than Scorpion but the its a light helmet (i wear domain). Vents are awesome as well and gives you that "Halo" look. Personally I like the icon fit a tad better, easier in and out. g'luck

Whats up JBird!

I have an XL HJC AC-12 Yikes III that I used for about 6 months. It was quite comfortable for the time I had it, and very reasonably priced! I think its a $300 helmet I picked up for about $100.

Now I have an Arai Corsair RX-7. I LOVE this helmet!!! I think the fit is fantastic on my melon shaped head! Def need to find one that fits your head right. Also this helmet is extremely ventilated which is good on hot rides but is also a tad bit noisy. The greatest thing about it is the lightness of the helmet. I literally can wear it for hours without the helmet bothering me.

Hope this helps some!

find one that fits
find one that fits well
Otherwise, you would have a hard time finding a bad helmet unless you spend no money or buy a used one....

I agree with studies that show snell is too hard... unless you will be racing and might hit your head very hard many times in a row... I would avoid snell. DOT and the Euro standard are safer for your brain.

I picked Shark because of the interior shape that fits my head better than most of the others.
