Scorpion.... I love the Scorpions and will never go for less. Shoei and Arai are awesome of course but they are pricey.

DO NOT buy Fulmer... The visors come off often and break easily. HJC is a step up from them and I think they make Icon too. (Not 100% sure on that). Didn't care for Joe Rocket helmets, and didnt care for Sumoy(sp?) helmets either... Oh yeh Akuma helmets are cool too I guess. Just depends on you!

just my .02!!!

I have a fulmer right now I like it but it's seen it's days it's time for a new one my biggest gripe is there is no padding in the four head area it bugs the out of me after about about 20 min.

Get one that fits. No matter the price - Cheap or Expensive. I've tried several brands and if they don't fit your head it doesn't matter what you pay.

Try this article on for size before you settle.

I love my EXO-700. No complaints at all. Can wear it all day and not have a problem with it.

I have the Exo-700, and love it. Noise is bearable, ventilation is outstanding. Swapping out the visor can be a tad frustrating (at least on mine) sometimes, others it goes on in an instant. Im not exactly up on my terminaology, but the "wind blocker" add on for the chin area is a must.

I second that. I joined another forum that they sponsor on and have gotten some very nice deals from them.

I know you're looking in the 150 range, but I've also seen some great deals on Shark RSR2 helmets at around 250. I've heard nothing but good things about these helmets. The one I tried on at Cycle Gear was very nice. Unfortunately my head was more comfortable in an X11. At least that's what I explained to my wife.
