Motarded -where to ride?

I have been thinking of getting a motard set up for my CRF, and the only thing holding me back is finding a place to ride. It will not be a street legal bike, so a big parking lot that is motorcycle friendly, or a track that is motard friendly.

Where are you motarded guys riding at? Just doing trackdays, or is there a motard spot?

I usually just blast around any backroad or fool around in the lots by my house.
Soo far I've only been to grandsport on the tard and that was fun. Linz(racer997) has probably done every track in texas. Let me know if you get it together and Ill throw some cones out.

Hit the backgrounds mainly.

Although, I've got some more research to do, as there is supposed to be 1-2 acre concrete parking lot out in our area where and old school used to sit.

Has anybody tried talking to the owners of some bigger parking lots in Houston? Maybe the horse track or even the greyhound track down south of town. I know car clubs hold events at the greyhound track.

If we could get something worked out with a large parking lot that would be nice. Unfortunately a true supermoto track would probably never happen, but at least a short road course for some motard action.

I am looking for a place to ride a 450 motard. Already have a membership at the Katy track, but a 450 would be way too much for that track, and would probably get me in trouble with the owners.

the 2 major factors ive seen over the years are: $$$ cost $$$ and the lack of interest, both from the local dirt riders & their audience. ive been riding motards for 7 years now and most of the interest i see comes from the asphault side of the motorcycle community.

u can do that on Sept. 4th if u have a CMRA race license. i used to do that all the time with LSTD when they do the friday trackday before race weekends. id ride the motard on the 1.3mi course then jump on the 1000 and ride the 1.7mi. id swap bikes and tracks all freakin day long
