Triumph is doing their homework, they've just come out with the thunderbird, while i don't like it because it doesnt really resemble the original it should sell well. The next bike they are talking about seems to be a 675 tiger dual purpose. Would make one of a motard! I'm in love with my thruxton though so I'm biased. My next will be a speed triple most likely, then a rocket 3 to go cruising on and demolish all you sport bike riders on the straights!

A 1050 Daytona would be amazing. If they don't make one for 2010 i'll pick up a Dayton 675 probably around December?

Chicken strips...yeah...they're getting worked out though. It's hard to get to a good lean when you mostly drive to work and back which is STRAIGHT down West Little York from my house

It's a really great bike. Suspension is a little soft, but it's still better than a lot. It comes with braided lines and all that stock. With about 200$ for tuning, 80$ for an air cleaner and about 1,200$ for a full exhaust system like the Arrow 3-to-1 that gets rid of the cat and has a little bit better header system you can get upwards of 115HP on a 370lbs bike.

I'm planning on Daytona forks with heavier springs and new rear shock to button up the suspension a little better (upgrade forks will aslo give me radial mounted calipers).

It will only go about 140MPH in full tuck but it gets there pretty quick considering

I was a -hair away from buying the Orange Speed Triple. But decided it was too much for a 1st bike.

I kind of wish I had gotten the Striple R just for the better suspension and brakes but I couldn't get one at the time (and I'm VERY impatient) and the matte colors don't do much for me but the Matte Orange with all the trimmings (seat cowl, belly pan and fly-screen) with an Arrow 3-to-1 on it just looks SICk.

I've spent a lot of time on a Daytona at the dealer. Being 6'4" I came to the conclusion that I would need 1-1.5" raised clip ons so they weren't so agressive to make it something livable. But the looks of it is just too killer to me. I will probably end up getting one, I just wish they still made that Neon Blue. It's just a beautiful bike.

Very nice bike.
My fondest memory of those bikes is passing them in a wheelie @ TWS (Texas World Speedway)
Man, I wish someone would have got that on camera.

BTW, Orange is the fastest color dood, you should know better

The Tech-Specs were probably the BEST thing I've done to the bike. My body stability is 10X better because my knee's were always sliding up the tank in corners.

Orange? If I went and bought an Orange bike today it would be a ZX-10R. It's a WICKED looking bike.

Passing them on a wheelie? LOL. It's certainly not the fastest bike around but it will air out the front tire in 1st and 2nd but it's nothing too blazing fast. It's really good on the Streets. I've ridden a coule 600CC bikes and they seem like you really have to wind the out of them to really get going. This bike is pretty much going from about 2,500 and when it his 7,800-8,000 rpm it wakes up quite a bit more.

You don't need to be scrubbing them off in the streets anyway, especially with your level of experience. Get on the track when you can, and they'll come right off.

Congrats! I love this bike.
