after doing research its not hard and you can do it with most basic digital cameras. all you have to have is 3 identical pictures taken from a tripod or something still and change the exposure on it and then it combines the images to let you adjust all the light values and balance... very simple once I did some looking around and the program is free

ok this is what you have to do and it requires a tripod because I just tried to do it with a steady hand and it came out like shaky. You have to take 3 identical pictures with different exposures. one allowing very little light one being a somewhat normal shot and one that is way over exposed. With that being said you take it to this program. which can be downloaded for free right here http://www.hdrsoft.com/download.html .. once you open it select try free trial. Then click in the left corner generate HDR. then select the 3 identical files with different exposures... it will simply combine everything and give you the best features from each shot to generate 3 layers into one. And of course you can adjust colors shadows all that good stuff.. they look pretty sweet just something I saw and thought I would pass it on
