Yes, I am going to sweep the forest but, Aaron had a good idea, when we get to 3090 I am going to lead the group. 3090 is not really a road to play around with, I am on a slower bike but know the road pretty well, furthermore, being that my bike is a bit slower it will keep the rest of you at a safer pace, like a built in safety feature for the group. Please wear gear y'all.

If I can get a tire on tomorrow night, then I'll try to be there. But it's kinda iffy right now. I'm hoping I can off of work a little early tomorrow and get it taken care of. If so I'll be looking to join the slowest of the slow. Never been on either route before.

Matt,
That sounds good to me. I know you're looking forward to 3090 and i've got no problem running sweep for it.

Gear- Yes...I would highly advise you guys to wear everything you have. It's going to be hot out but safety is the most important thing to be worried about. I would REALLY like it if I didn't have to call loved ones because someone really got hurt. I would advise a helmet, jacket and gloves at the very minimum. There are some rocks on 3090 and rocks and knuckles don't feel good and neither do bugs. Over the ankle boots would be a major plus as well. (anything other than Sketchers LOL). Ankles are complex, protect them.

Hope you can get the tire!

No worries mate. We'll keep a speed that's good for everyone. If other guys want to go faster they can break off and go ahead with the quicker group. The slow group will likely stay around the speed limit. If it was too slow then on the way back we can ramp it up a little more. We want to make sure everyone is comfortable. It's better for a faster rider to go a little slower and let the new guys get a feel for it while riding in a group. Helps with the confidence a little bit.

those that rode daves memrial ride, on 3090 you may remember a part where the road kind of washed out and they filled it in with chalk rock. just dirt and rock. it is right after a blind corner. keep your eyes peeled. it is the entire lane on one side. your side
