weather is looking more promising now! Woo hoo! It's your ride man, gear required? At least helmet gloves and jacket? Let's get organized and set a time. I do thinks meetng spot closer to town would be better, not everyone knows how to get to the forest. I'd say the starbucks across from willowbrook mall right there at 249 and 1960. It's pretty central so all can make that. Just my .02 cents though.

Don't know about the weather. Fox just said all the sun will do is cook up more storms...we'll see

Meeting spot and all that? I'm not sure. I don't know where/if everyone is coming from. You know where I'm at Matt so...

I've never gone the I-45 way, always 249. If most people are coming the 45 way i'll probably shoot out there and meet them off 1960 and 45 or someting. I dunno....thow out some ideas.

AWWWWW YEA! Yea I'm going to actually be out in Richmond by then so its a long haul just to get to the meet spot. everyone already knows where PP69 is at the shell 242/45 And I'm pretty sure I remember how to get to the forest from there. I could ride and meet you Aaron and then we could head to pp69. Now its just nailing down a time. It's been doing the rain thing later in the evenings aside from the last 2 days so It's probably better to plan to be grubbin at yankees round 1 ish then everyone usually splits off and heads home so. My guess would bee meet 945 KSU 1015, or meet at 10 KSU at 1030

149= triple numbers plus exempt two corners.

3090= dont ask.

But those rides are private invite only. Besides, its all way too hot especially mid day.

I posted the map for the CoachDave ride but we also know several other roads that arent traveled by cops including some that are so crazy curvy it puts 3090 to shame.

Burnboy is right. Amost every ride there is a run off or wreck. Run at your own pace. And if it ends up we have some riding that day at a slower pace then the group I'll drop back with them. Just let us know ahead of time.

I'd recommend structuring the ride around safety and request gear requirements, etc. Just a recommendation.

That was my suggestion as well Cali. . .you gonna make it out? if anyone is up for it we could ride the other side of 3090 where it gets hilly and fun up towards brenham and sommerville. I know some fun roads out that way. Very beautiful ride as well.

I might be down for a ride this weekend, weather permitting of course. I am sure Crystal will want to come as well.

Been to Yankees many times, and up 149 many times too. but 3090 just a dozen or so.
While scuffing in some Bt16s on 3090 with MH, found them chiken strip free when we reached Yankees, well the rear one.

I agree there are to many incidents on 3090 and there is a definate police presence on both now.

I think it is time to look for some more roads there must be a lot out there.

Here's my thought on the deal.

There seems to be some people that have never been in the Forest/3090 area before or have only done it enough to know they're not comfortable.

I would be MORE than happy to take the lead for the new guys at a much slower pace just so they could get a feel for the roads. I have no problem with that at all. I've ridden it enough at a "spirited" pace that i'm plenty comfortable with it.

As far as gear goes: strictly my opinion, but there's never too much. I wear full Alpine boots, gloves, jacket and helmet any time i'm on the bike (still need pants). So...it's pretty clear where I stand on it. If you don't have all that I'm certainly not going to say "oh...you can't ride"...LOL. But it's your own risk kind of thing. But I certainly would be happy to see everyone in at least boots, jacket and helmet. But that's me

But if some of you are looking to do more spirited riding, take the lead and lead that group and we'll catch up at certain points.

I forgot to mention....I will be running triple digits the whole ride.

J/k. ... I will have someone with me who has never been so it will be a fairly normal pace.

I believe in general they know to hunt 3090 on the weekends regardless. They know if it's clear, they will have a good hunt.

I wouldn't be suprised if they did. I'm sure we have some LEO's on here.

In case a LEO is reading this, everyone here rides at the posted speed limit.
