hey cali (and everyone else that stayed back), thanks again for coming back around and taking care of me and everything i really appreciate it. i'm siting in the urgent care lobby right now waiting to be seen to see what they say. thanks for the pics too, i'll have to check them out later. only problem is i didn't see any shots of my jeans trying to et the new fad. oh well.

hopefully the recovery won't be too long or painful and we can get the bike on the road again soon. i still need to make it to yankees!

yea, thanks to everyone that stayed behind to help, especially cali and bobby that went way out of their way.

First run through the forest. Was fun as . I'm looking forward to the next trips.

So stick my elbow out more in curves, huh cali? Haha. Gestures while riding are fun to interpret.

drop the elbows... get your body weight over the bike on the side

if your body isnt moving progressively over the bike in corners, your fighting the bike w your upperbody by pendaluming it against the turn.

take a look at some of pam's reverse riding pix in her new thread today from the Coach Ride. the R1's r track guys.

I have only been on one 3090 ride with MH where somebody didn't go down, and that was the first one I made and it was raining that day. Glad you are ok, sounds like you will be back on road in no time. Remember the help fellow riders gave and pass it along to others in future when they are in need. MH crew has been great in helping downed/stranded riders in my experience, and that means a lot, especially when you are the one in need of assistance.

oh yeah, matt, those dogs chasing you was just a little bit funny. glad that didn't end badly. their owners were chasing and yeling at them too.

aaron, sorry you couldn't be there, but it is what it is. i appreciate the offer to help. i'll let you know when anything starts moving a long.

jmac, yeah, from what i hear people go down out there all the time. sucks it was me. i hate being that guy, but i definitely won't forget everyone that stayed back to make sure i was ok, helped me with the bike, and got me back home. i'm surely ready to help anyone of them (and any other downed rider) when i can. that's why i love this community.

k; I looked and the light just turned green for the cross traffic so I went for it.

I didn't know the dogs' owners were there. I just saw relentless dogs chasing me.

Just an update...got back from the doctor a little while ago. Basically they were saying that I should have gone in more immediately, because they probably would have stitched the knee, but you really only have about a 6 hr window where you can stitch it. Either way, they said it should still heal, just take a little longer, and is more prone to infection, so I need to stay on top of keeping it clean and I'll be taking an antibiotic. Hand is ok, just need to keep neosporin on it and trim skin as it dies. Pinky is sprained and I have a splint on it to keep it straight. Nothing is broken at all. All in all not too bad I guess, just have to heal up now.

Hey speed, all things considered, sounds like we'll see you back on the road soon!

I'll be shopping for some kneepads too. =)

lol, yeah, basically it's just a matter of how long it takes me to get the money for repairing the bike. But , if nothing else, I'm glad someone could learn from my mistakes. If I had knee pads I'd really only be worrying about the bike right now!
