Yeah, that was me down. Things definitely aren't as bad as they could've been, thankfully. Glad it was a low side that missed the pole and fence. Bike is banged up a bit...hole in the crank case from scraping, small crack in the left faring, a few scratches, bent shift lever and front end seems just barely out of alignment. As for me, scraped up right palm and pretty deep cuts in the left knee, swolen pinky, maybe a bruised ankle/knee/palm. But I've been up and walking around since it happened, so I don't think there's anything major there. Helmet performed great, jacket was alright - one seam broke on the forearm and I got the most minor scratches ever, gloves opened up...kinda sucks there. KNEE PADs, please wear them! If I had knee pads on, I wouldn't be nearly as bad off as I am. Waiting for the next pay check is not an ok excuse. Learn from my mistake.

As for fixation on the truck, I really don't think so, fixating on that probably would have brought me further in. I really can't say because it happened so fast and details are a little blurry...if anything, I'm thinking it's possible I saw it, got scared of it and went a little wider, which is where I found the gravel and lost it.

Thanks again for all of those people that stuck around and helped me out, and especially Bobby for trailering my bike back home. That was really awesome of you. Really great group of guys out there.

A thread will come later when I get pics in for those that want to see it.

Glad you are allright man, when you get parts let me know I'll help you get her put back together and back on the road. Sorry today ended up for you like it did. Drink some water and pop a few advil/Tylenol tonight to sleep, you will be sore tomorrow. What size is your helmet i've got one you can have if it fits.

What brand gloves and jacket?
Jacket = Fieldsheer textile. Happy with the way it performed.
Gloves = Teknic Supervent pro. Wish the palms would have held up more.

The sad thing is I already decided on the pair of pants I wanted, just wanted to wait til the next pay check. It will cost me more now...

Thanks, man. I still have to decide what to do...whether it's an insurance case or if I should just get the essential parts to get it running again.

^ oh yeah, helmet size was a large, but a medium might work too. I should really compare the 2.

if the 1-3 months experience is correct in your info, I would just get the essential parts.

Dude, I'll tell you what, I'll make sure you never get dehydrated whilst working with me on the bike I'll give the helmet a try and see how it feels. I remember trying one med and thinking it was way too tight, but kinda felt my lrg was just the slightest bit too big...think they were different brands though, so who knows how things will go. I'll definitely give it a try, and if you ever wanna stop by for a brew or 2 and look things over to help me figure out what I need and what it's gonna run, you're definitely welcome. I think I might be a tad bit out of the way for you. Either way thoug, thanks for the help, bro.

No need to thank me man, just doing what I feel i ought to do. Yea the helmet probably needs to be smaller then. I started out with a large helmet (when my hair was a little longer than shoulder length) and now I'm down to a small and it fights just right. I'd give it a try, I even just washed all the innards and gave it a good cleaning on the inside. I'll have to get a few bugs off of it though. Just send me a pm and I think I'm off tuesday and wednesday so we can take a look at it then.

Yeah, I mean, don't feel like you have to. But if you really want to, then yeah, I really appreciate it and it's always good making a new friend. I work m-f pretty much 9-at least 5. Up for whatever afterwards. I'll send you a PM with the #.

Quickgixx...it's all good man...they don't need the entire vid of me walking around all off and trying to decide what to or what to think, lol.
