As a business they can turn away whoever they please. That store nets alot of money, the stupid that goes on more likely than not drives away business wednesday night. The "owner" of that starbucks is the corporation itself, starbucks is not a franchise. I can tell you lots more about that if you want. But if you are disrupting their business by people doing stupid , they have a right.

At least the bikers get coffee and go outside. What about the peeps that buy a 2 dollar house brew, then play games on their PC all night taking up all the plush seats.

Tiatool which way are you betting? The bikers do spend money but the amount of complaints that store receives on a wednesday night and the amount of people who have said they wont come back in the evenings anymore could easily buy you a new bike.

Not argueing, just pointing out they are still turning away business at past 10 when the store is closed. If it is the lofts, maybe. BUT that is like complaining about people honking.

Sucks just because your chosen mode of transportation is a bike, you can't enjoy a coffee.

uh... starbucks is likely leasing the commercial space they are in folks...

no matter though b/c corporate offices for both starbucks and property mgmt have plausible deniability...

don't blame the busniness - blame the ones doing rev's, acting like idiots and not actually buying anything (loitering)...

anyway - if hpd says leave... it's usually just best to leave...

I'm betting they make $$ off the bikes. I'll bet Weds night is one of their highest grossing nights. Also, the residual business by being a "biker friendly" meet spot.

I understand about franchising. I also understand it is a publically traded business, and they sell Starbucks brand items in the store. THEREFORE corporate has some say about how they run their business. To think they are privately owned and operated without SOME corporate oversight is nieve.

I hope it doesn't turn into another situation where the cops pull in and take everyone to jail even the people not on motorcycles!

My understanding, and I dont know if it is tru, but supposedly that is the busiest Starbucks in the nation. They sure dont wanna lose that location. and yes, I am confident they rent.
