Who cares what the law is. Shooting fvckers who steal teaches all thieves a valuable lesson. Kneecaps please!

I don't lock my stuff, my house, my bikes, or my cars. But I keep a loaded SKS with 20 rounds very near where I sleep. I'll ask my questions and ponder the laws after my ears quit ringing.

I don't think thieves have learned much from the killings of other thieves, or else thievery would have ceased long ago.

Personally, and this is a value judgment, I find being able to say I have never killed over my property much more valuable than said property. In particular since I am a sinner and a wrongdoer myself; the only thing I have ever worked hard for and deserve is death.

that sucks to hear. i don't understand why you have to pay so much if you are 'in the right'

was talking to a Ft Bend Detective the other day, common theme is kids "car hopping" going thru neighborhoods, just pulling on door handles and see what their luck is........i keep my stuff unlocked IN MY GARAGE.

that's common in neughborhoods, and more common in apartment complexes. you see someone walking around all the cars at night, follow them. they'll be in someones' ride soon enough. then it's blastin time.

Texas's "castle doctrine" laws cover your home as well as your vehicle.

With that said, the only way I would ever shoot someone is if I feared for my life or the safety of my loved one's. Would I cap a guy in the back as he was driving off on my bike? Nope, I couldn't live with that on my conscience. However, if I ever felt that an intruder meant harm to me or my family (like if they broken into my garage in the middle of the night) - he would be dead in a hearbeat, no hesitation whatsoever.
you are correct about the castle doctrine. but be careful. laws can be interpreted in many ways

the doctrine entitles you to shoot to kill

but was your life in danger? thats when you get in the mess

and i mean you are going to go tru all the jury

anyway im not a lawyer just my .02

Are we reading the same law?

Sorry pester - but you're incorrect. Texas allows the use of lethal force to protect personal property. Its pretty cut and dried.

Incidentally, a real fear for your life is also not required.

Read post 47. That's the exact penal code. It is quite clear.

On a different note, you dont shoot to kill, you shoot to stop. Unfortunately for the bad guy, this is frequently fatal. Too bad for him.

Your life need not be in the slightest bit of danger under certain circumstances.

Yes, my property is worth a LOT more than some low-life's continued pathetic existence.

No. Yes. No.

Actually, my neighbor that just got his cruiser a month ago got his bike stolen from George Bush park while he was at his kids soccer game.

He said he was so that he actually wanted to kill someone. Then I got to thinking, so would I.

But saying it is different from doing it.

And since this MH is such a bike AND gun loving crowd, just thought I'd ask public opinion.
What would you do man?

Thumbs up bike thieves

Aim between the eyes, pull trigger twice. First one to kill, next one to make sure he's dead. Then, get on bike and do a burnout across his body/face in shape of no sign, like the no smoking one! Then drag his to bike nite to show off to everone else how productive your day was!
