I never hear people justify it like that at least. . .
I think of something along the lines of this. . .

Ulric: Why do you race on the streets?
Rider: B/C I like to have fun and haul , so I bought a bike, it's cheap and really fukking fast.

Ulric: Why do you act an on the streets?
Rider: Because I am an .

There are other justifications that a rider can use for their way of street riding, but for these examples, I think it's more reason than justification.

P.S. please refrain from saying crotch rocket. That is so fukking tacky and is a disgrace to any real sportbike rider. IMO at least.

Dude,
I had a very specific use of it in mind, when I decided to post it. :-) Your assessment isn't/wasn't it... and on the crotchrocket thing.
You should note that I listed several 'descriptions' and did not use the one exclusively. Words are words, the impact or effect they have over you are limited to the power you give them.

sorry ulrich, i thaught bumblebee was the op. i really understand and am not trying to against the grain. in a conversation i had with a familiar face here on the board, we discussed our responsibility. people are going to ride on public roads. they will ride them the way they are meant to be ON public roads. like my comment about triumph saying the daytona 675 is first a road bike. people are going to crash.bad things are going to happen. the track day is not the thing for everyone. some are less wealthy than others. i just accept my responsibility for the way i may influence others when riding on public roads. therefore i try to be the best i can be and be a positive influence. we as humans are nobodys savior. there are many who do give us a bad rap. sure. it will always be this way. it has always been this way.

Then what is it's very specific use?
Apparently I missed that.
Your thread didn't have much to it to begin with so wtf?
Maybe you should take the time to write up a thread that's more than a few sentences if you want to have a successful and accurate discussion where everyone know WTF we are talking about. . . because obviously, not everyone gets it. . .

I'd say what I said is pretty accurate regardless.

Let's sum it up with, I'm well aware of the literary limitations of a large portion of the audience, so I feel no need for a novel
The first post is succinct to make a point with those intelligent enough to understand.

I get ya burn. :-)

I realize there are people that will ride like idiots on public roads regardless of the condition/situation.
<shrug> I reserve the right to point out the stupidity of such actions.

Pyro, is that you?
What are you arguing about?

I'm one of the dumber guys on here, and it was pretty easy for me to understand what he was trying to say. Just because you have a bike that will do 180 mph does'nt mean you have to do it every chance you get on public roads. I doubt he said this to insult anyone, or make himself seem "holier than thou", but rather to give some advice to someone who might need it.
If your not one of those people, then move along.

And I didn't take it that way, others may have, not me. I quoted what he said and simply pointed out that it was inaccurate.

Lol, precisely how so? IF I had said 'all' riders, then you would be correct.

..and honestly Tom, it was prolly a bit of all 4.
I'm a bit of an after all. :-)

Ok so a new Corvette ZR1 passes me on the freeway @ 170mph.
I see them exit so I exit also to check out their car.
Their window is down so I ask them
Hey, why do you go that fast on the road?"
Driver: "Because I drive a ZR1"

I'm thinking more like, because they like to go fast.
Pretty simple. All I was doing was pointing out that people would be giving reasons for their actions, not justifications.
The way you said a rider would justify the things you mentioned, doesn't sound right to me. But whatever.
You have 10+ years riding exp and have heard from many more people than me so you must know best
Heh, 10+ years and I bet you don't ride for either
Buncha ninnies here.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may have mercy on your soul lol

The problem occurs when natural selection impacts more than the darwin candidate.

Buncha cranial-rectal inverted future organ donors too.
You may be right about the riding, but then I've survived 24 years on the street with naught but minor injury. Lemme know when you hit that mark.

24 years, how many miles?
But congrats, that's quite a feat with all the that can happen on a road.
Also depends on the type of riding (NOT PACE) you do and where you ride to have a record clear of accidents and injuries
