Great day - everyone did a great job from lead to sweep. Thank you to everyone who took time to come ride with us bike or cage.

Thanks to all of the volunteers, no matter how big or small your contribution was.

Thanks to all of those who are sharing photos and videos.

Thanks Matt for everything you've done over the past weeks - I know you have been overwhelmed and it has taken over your life. Hopefully you can get some rest now.

I would also like to take this time to thank everyone who bought memorial decals, especially those who donated extra. The family was very grateful to everyone who made efforts to donate whether shirts, decals or direct donations. It adds up and it helps!

I spent just a few minutes talking with Kim. Their world is still upside down as you can imagine. Though the family is surrounding her - so much of her life was wrapped up in Dave. My hope would be that we continue to minister to this family. I know from experience, that when everyone slips back into their lives and the dust begins to settle - that is when the silence becomes unbearable. She mentioned the desire to continue to "hang out" with the MotoHouston group and said she would be interested in knowing when we were riding the forest or similar events. If you have a personal relationship with this family - please keep the lines of communication open and everyone please keep them in your prayers. I'd love to see this event turn into the First Annual Coach Dave "Remember the Bonnets" Ride. Kim mentioned how glad she was that Bluebonnets were the theme of the ride. She said that every time she saw one of those flowers it would remind her of Dave and knew it would remind others too. She was glad to know he will never be forgotten.

Thanks again everyone for such a special day.

That would be cool...

And keep it sane and relaxed because there is nothing worse than having peeps go down on "memorial" rides...

I tried to play catchup and came over that hill at 83 mph and Ken, and Brandi (Squoddy) are tapping the tops of their lids even though me and Flip were already over the hill and Mr. DPS waves them on and points to me and Flip to pull over. LOL. Its all good though.

It was my first group ride, first forest ride and I had a great time honoring CoachDave (even tho I never met the man).

My thanks to all of MH riders I met and to our group of 7 (led by Guitarman and followed up by Meaner-n-You) for getting us back from Yankees.

Thanks also to everyone involved in organizing the ride and the massive support to pull it off. Bravo!

I look forward to the next ride

Dave's family is part of our family. Anything they need, they only need to ask. I, and MANY others, will be here to help in any way possible. I can't even imagine what the family is going through. I have lost many friends, but never a family member.

Anyone have any of the decals left?

I have started to gather names for a second order of the decals and will be looking into the cost and availability of getting patches made. You can see post 52 on this thread if you're interested:

I still have Daves sticker on the side of Tims bike.
One of my best memories is the first ride Dave ever did with any of us MH idiots.. he met me and a couple friends up in Magnolia... me with my torn leather jacket, my buddies bike held together with zip ties and duct tape and a flat stunters tank... he had this look like "wtf did I sign up for?"... LOL... by the end of the day we had already planned the next weeks ride... it was like we had been best buds forever. I miss my boys every day but treasure the memories we made. Good times.
