another stolen bike

hey guys just got this off of r1-forums.com
if you know anything or see anything let him know

Hey guys, I usually never post, just read the threads. This past weekend my blue/white 03 R1 was stolen from my apartment in Webster, TX, southeast just outside Houston. I work so hard for everything, now a big chunk of me is gone. I had the disc brake lock on but i believe it was jacked by "lifters". I use to have a heavy duty cable lock going through the swing arm wrapping around the carport pole but the apartment complex made me take it off. I think that may have had alot to do with it getting stolen. Its funny how so many other people here have their trailers locked like that, but I'm the "good" guy who ends up screwed. I will keep you guys updated, do whatever you can to protect them and have full coverage insurance! I'll be paying for this for awhile. It's funny that it got stolen two days after I got it serviced at a local dealership. Makes me wonder if someone on the inside is slipping apartment addresses to crooks.....I dunno, I'm gonna stay on auto theft and try and get this resolved. PLEASE keep out a sharp eye and stay safe. this can happen to anybody. I'm living proof.

2003 R1 blue/white, all stock but has a scropion pipe and clear taillight
VIN# JYARN10E73A007337
North Carolina Plates
HOUSTON AUTO THEFT DIV: 713-308-3500
CASE# 027648306F

Stolen from The Bradford Apartments in Webster, TX
Please contact me with any info at seaotter_uscg@yahoo.com

i would have told the apt complex to kiss my unless they wanted to be responsible for my bike. as long as you pay your rent you should be able to keep your vechicle safe.

yeah, thats a bogus deal and ifn' it was me, I would take photographs of every trailer locked up like that, and then go see an attorney and try to get them hobos held responsible for not offering a safe place for your bike, even worse, they made you make it easier for jacking and others are allowed, man o man I would be all over them folks.nunu

this sucks but, its the same story over and over. if you cant afford full coverage its a risk parking anywhere and you know it

sorry man, sucks!

and if one get full, at least get liability+theft. its not THAT costly either. locks, chains etc discourage the thief a bit, but not that much. lojack is perhaps the only good enough anti theft device

how does one get financed and then not have to show proof of full coverage for their financer?

i think if it is less than $10k you don't have to carry full coverage, or if it is on a Yamaha/Honda/Kaw card. I think, I could be wrong on the amount.

I dunno, I will bet my credit union could care less of the amount, if its owed, it requires insurance.
that may be how, buy it on the credit card thing.
