cool, git er done and let' up the hill. the track has a lot to offer as far as upgrading of rider skills. PLENTY of reference points to be had out there, and badass place to learn braking.

hit up msrh's private day for a few more bucks.

MSRH has a variety of stuff to learn on, has tight corners, fast corners, decreasing and increasing radius turns, longer straights, nice facilities and restrooms....

GSS, all tight and technical, nothing to "move up to" i guess you could say. very bland track with all slow turns, not much of a straightaway, does not flow as well, no facilities much less a restroom, and no power.

with all that being said.....GSS is more of a motard track. they will have more fun thats for sure.

I have been thinking of getting my CMRA license for some time now, soley to ride at OHR on open track days.

How often are people out there on the track? I have a weird schedule, so it weekdays at OHR would probably work out better for me.

Also been playing around with the thought of building my 450 into a motard. Is OHR a motard friendly track?

Gss is a great track, Tony just is real fickle about it for no reason lol.

Smoothest track in texas, and best grip in texas... LOADS of RAIN OR SHINE

No real facilities, bring a gene and a big ice chest and a Ez up.

No one here has ridden it CW but me(that i know of) and Im tellling you, it flows WAY better that way.

I, myself wouldnt deal with the track owner, but Id ride there if an actual trackday org rides there and takes care of all the paper work.

From experience, its a pain and alot of liability. Just ask any of your trackday orgs lol

I keep telling Chris that GSS ain't got better grip than Oak Hill, and he keeps hoping I won't find these threads to disagree with him.

GSS has potential.
I had a blast riding it on the tard.
I'd be down for 30 min tard/30 min sport bike day.

Definetly want to hit up a private day at MSRH sometime
Yes, GSS is small. Yes it doesn't have that much of a straight.........but, I can't speak for anyone but me, but GSS is a good track for someone of my skill level (or lack there of!!!) to go out on a "private" small group kinda day and just get some seat time in. I am not fast and it will be a while before I am used to riding on the track. So, a day like this at GSS might be just up my alley.
That being said, when I have the money I am going to try and get in on a private day at MSRH
