Iridium shields?

I'm thinking of getting one and want to know what are the pros and cons. Can they be used at night or will i need to switch shields?

I use mine at night. Its not that bad... But if its easy for you to change to clear before a night ride then I would do that for sure.

Ultimate for night time would be amber but those are rare. They actually increase light source.

Iridium is more for bright daylight; there are a few members that ride with us at night with them cracked. I personally keep to clear since we always end up in late hours when we ride.

Yup

Great advice.

My iridium is nice, but I can't stand to ride nights with it. The ambers are crazy when it gets dark... very nice visuals.

I use Iriduim shield and really like it. You can see on Interstate with street lights at night but not so much in the country or where lighting is poor. I plan ahead and if going to be out after dark carry the clear shield in a shield holder pack thing. The curve of the shield fits around hip of your choice and you never even know it's there.

I have one of those on my street Suomy but I keep a tinted shield on my track Suomy! Iridium's are nice but mine scratched easily!

They scratch easy and some are lighter and darker, you never no what you are getting.

If you just want a good all around one they sell light smoked ones and they are usally 10 bucks cheaper.

Depending on the brand they can scratch like a . I have found the Suomy to be a total POS. I scratched mine with a soft towel. Its only the inside that scratches so easily though.
