Dang, private days at MSRH just can't be beat. Almost like having the track to yourself most of the time. Wish I could make it, but too much going on right now.

You boys turn some laps in anger for me too.

Glad you enjoyed Jorge, next time we'll work on that body position and get you a bit faster. Enjoyed running with all you guys today, good to get back on the bike after such a long lay off. Amy had a blast and you guys were great in passing her. Thanks to everyone.

Thanks for the shot of the new leathers and lid! And Amy says thanks for her pic too. Probably be ready to go at it again late May.

I have a question for you guys.

Sunday, as I started to pick up the pace, and actually get a little faster I noticed some things I didn't notice before...

For one, is braking... I don't know much at all about motorcycles and/or racing, all I really know is how to put gas it in, start it up, and get on the track

So before Sunday primarily, I could do all my breaking and downshifting before the turn and everything came easy... but the faster I came into the corners, I obviously had to brake harder to slow down, and since I am not used to it I don't know if what I was feeling was right. I noticed that in order to slow down enough for some of the turns, I would grab a shitload of front break, enough to where it feel like I have to keep myself from coming off of the seat SO that brought two questions to my mind that I forgot to ask while I was out there.

1. Is that just a part of it, and its time to grow some and do it in every corner...

2. Was I possibly carrying too much entry speed and forcing myself to almost indo to slow down

Apart from that, I QUICKLY realized I need a steering dampener and better tires if I want to not crash coming out of corners

Thanks for any help guys

Jorge...You looked awesome out there! Very smooth. Look forward to riding with you when you get back.

Buck...thanks again for an awesome day on the track! Look forward to riding with and learning from you again soon! For those who don't know Buck, he is VERY knowledgable and helpful.

David, Ralph and Dustin...always enjoy chillin and riding with you guys.

1. Yep, grow a sac and you'll shave seconds.
2. If you are breaking hard you may feel the rear get light and yes that is a good thing up to a point. Are you finished breaking before tip in? If so we need to work on trail braking to the apex.

I definitely need to work on trail braking, because yes, I was usually done braking before tipping in

All in good time though, thanks Buck
