I do my part. I take the bus to work or bike commute if I wake up too late. Metro is the biggest bargain in town, $1.00 to go cross town??? The truck only gets used to haul the bike to the track or get groceries. Gas prices dont affect me.

I'm a chemist for an oil company and I can tell you that new fields are becoming very scarce, which is troubling. my current research is focused on redeveloping severely depleted reservoirs...fields they've already pumped almost dry. Bad sign. Anyways, dont blame the oil's a free market economy, price is subject to supply and demand. If consumption goes down, the price will come down. Unfortunately, even with these higher prices we are still consuming the same or higher than before the price increases. Use economical transportation and try to curb your own consumption.
