I had a dodge caliber srt messing with me in alvin a couple weeks ago. After about 4 or 5 time of him reving it up and speeding up slowing down taunting me with his girlfriend with him, I finally got next to him looked over and the couple and flipped him off. She started laughing, i kept on cruising. TOOLS

Only dumb if the car can't hang. For a little cash you can build a car that will destroy any stock bike in a roll-on, top-speed or drag race.

Yeah, there aren't many stock cars that can hang with a stock bike but a car is a much better platform for building an all-out powerhouse.

Four sticky tires, a long wheelbase, low center of gravity and superior aerodynamics give cars the edge.

I was in my center console 18' predator behind a barge in the ship channel a few years ago and I wanted to pass it up. I came up on the stern and lined up to pass to the left and straightened out to jump the wake when I noticed the wake was like a five foot deep trough.

If I'd actually been stupid enough to try and pass it I surely would have sunk the boat.

you think that mustang posts on MH and will read this thread? try posting on the local mustang forums if you want him to answer.

he must not know too much about bikes if he tries to race his GT so i doubt he lurks around here.

Yeah, a lot are BS, but I think there are something like 67 cars that are dyno proven to be over 500HP at the wheels, and 8 or so over 1000 at the wheels. You need to be careful what you mess with in Houston. There is an IS300 that prowls around that will eat up pretty much any bike out there.

couple of thoughts as most ppl dont really know how to drag they just know how to give it some gas.

i love seeing a bike nail it, even if im in a civic - hearing the engine redline and gears getting slam shifted is always a good sound

even if im in a pos and i pull up next to a viper at the light i want to see that 80k cage floor it so don't always take it as an insult but sometimes as a compliment as they porlly like your ride and just want to see it move

on the topic of cars/bikes whats really faster, thats always a stupid subject

i was in my camaro and i ran into a new z06 vette that was modded.
when he hit it - it actually looked like u took a rubberband and shot it forward
like honestly i cant accel that fast on my 10r and i know i how to drag it - cars just keep getting faster and faster and with with the new traction control thingys any idiot can shoot off the line where as slipping the clutch on any normal run and limiting traction loss = gg.

NEWAYS, that was coldblooded and he deserved it for being stupid.

8 or so over 1000? There's more than that buddy... check all your Houston based forums... not just H-I and you'll see your calculations are wrong. The funny thing is, there's so many people out there with garage built warriors, no one knows exactly how many badass MONSTER hp vehicles there are. , my buddy is building a 1100hp Mustang as I type and no one knows about it, because it's his project.... you'll be surprised how BIG Houston really is and all the vehicles that are here too.

8 or so that I know of that are PROVEN (I have seen dyno sheets) to be over 1k at the wheels. I'm sure there are many monsters out there. I was just speaking about those that I know.
