Crabb road route

Hi all,

Any chance someone can give me an idea of the roads to hit in this area? I've never been down that way and would be coming from the Katy/Richmond area.

take 99 south all the way. when you get to the railroad tracks with the exxon and the shell right and left, go over the tracks. thats the beginning of crabb. i forget the name of the actual roads, but i'm sure dudewhrsmybike will pop in with the route soon. oh yea if you're out in katy don't forget racer's road

I was on racer road and 359 a good bit yesterday.

I already asked dudewhrsmybike about the route. Apparently he was feeling playful and hasn't actually coughed up the directions yet.

ill say it here. its actually called 762. fololow it until you see a road leading to a plant entrance. thats the best road out there. then get back on 762 and ride that all the way to 1462. there is a few fun roads of 1462 but they are kinda hard to explain where. i live right there so one day ill prolly get out there and ride. usually when i go out there. someone crashes though so havent been in a while

Once you go past the plant make a left at flashing yellow and enjoy
at the end there are two gas stations and a flashing red.

Go left you will get back to roads leading to Houston / 288
Go right you will come to HWY 36
if you make a left on 36 there is an interesting ICE house "West of the Brazos"
within 1/4 mile on the right. Mostly Harley traffic.

You can follow 36 south to Surfside or go the other way and come back to 59
Note due to IKE you cannot get to Galvestion from Surfside unless you can ride in semi soft sand.

Here is a googlemaps overlook of Crabb plus Ricefield. Ricefield has a fun S turn but there is a tree line in one of the turns so becarefull of on coming traffic.

Its a sweet ride but be cautious(5-0,animals,traffic and yourself),but great to take pics at powerplant and quick access to 59,i still go,but found nicer roads west of katy only down side is kinda far and not a short ride like crabb this ride is like 2hrs plus, but u can take I-10 all the way to it.

for some people it is a big whoop!!!!
I live 2 hours from the forest, but 30 minutes from crab. i can hit crab and run it 3 or 4 times. less cops. can see through the entire turn most of the time. it is real fun if you include plant road on there too.
just my 35.7 cents

Ha I know about bois'd arc because a buddy of mine lives off of it, I wrecked my first bike on the big turn before the bridge, ****ing gravel strewn across the road. I'm actually about to move back to richmond so I'll have to hang out and ride with all you southwesterners
