Bike down - Anyone we know?

"A TREACHEROUS TURN IN SOUTHEAST HOUSTON MAY CLAIM A LIFE.
A MAN WAS WAS GIVING A YOUNG WOMAN A RIDE ON A MOTORCYCLE AROUND 8-30 SUNDAY NIGHT WHEN THEY CRASHED AT A SHARP CURVE ON CALHOUN.
BOTH RIDERS WERE INJURED... AND THE WOMAN IS NOW ON LIFE SUPPORT. NEITHER RIDER WAS WEARING A HELMET."

Other than giving the person a ticket, exactly what difference do you think the law would make?

Come on man - stop thinking the government has to fix this - and stop thinking a "law" will change stupidity.

There are laws against speeding and drunk driving already - have they made ANY difference?

i hate hearing this . Just because someone does something stupid does NOT mean we need yet another law....

Because we're not a bunch of commie bastards poking our -dammed hands into everyones bussiness. You cant protect people from themselves. If they choose to slam their heads into assfault and smear their brains all over the place then so be it. I ALWAYS wear a helmet but I don't need a bunch of aholes telling me what to do.

With full coverage or equivalent and over 25 you can ride without a helmet.

A decal can be installed on the license plate from DMV so you dont get harrassed if you provide all the proper identification.

But the sticker cant protect your nogen from the pavement
