suzuki's gladius

i want to like this bike. i really do. suzuki is doing a great job of making this bike look more like a fashion accessory than a motorcycle.

check out the gladius website
http://www.gladiusstyle.com/

it's a decent looking bike, but what the marketing d-bags have done to it really is a slap in the face to the sv650 lineage.

Man, you taint lying bro. That was some uber-scandavian-gay on that site.

I didnt know if I was shopping for a motorcycle or looking at some vogue magazine advertisement.

That bike is def missing something though.

I think it looks ok, but they could have easily have done it better. Seems like it's more geared to women riders to me.

Soo in essence, you want to use it the same way you use your gixxer. Correct?

Since you don't want to ride it are you gonna trailer it to PP1 so you can pose?

I like the headlight. I may just put it on my 919!

As far as the marketing goes,

But!.... let's see how it plays out. It looks like they're trying to create a whole new genre of motorcyclists... I guess to play into this whole "metrosexual" movement

I think the bike itself, aside from the high-fashion statement colors, ain't all that bad. Even if I had once considered buying this, I sure as wouldn't wouldn't buy one anymore... now that they created this image for it.

I really wanted to like the bike too, and that ad makes it all the harder.
I think the SV650/Gladius is Suzuki's VMax - an engine they don't bother improving for decades.

It's all the harder to like it when Kawi has their new 650 rubber mounted, and well, the 09 FZ-6R is just drop dead gorgeous.

the black and green is ok. they could have been more creative. maybe they came to motohouston.com and saw squoddy's bike with the painted frame and said "hhhmmmmmmmmmmm!" it's her fault, lol.

all they're doing is trying to mimic the italian naked bike. unoriginal, and uninspired. i'd rather have the real thing, not the japanese copy of it.
