Anybody have either of these things I can borrow?

I need to borrow a front stand (I have a rear) so I can get my wheel off to replace the tire.

I'm also going to replace sprockets and chain and I believe I need a special tool for the chain? For the rivet? Anyone have one I can borrow? I got an RX chain from Cycle Gear

Thanks if anyone can help

hey put the bike on your rear stand and then jack up the front by putting a board underneath the headers and jacking it up. Its pretty stable doing so. I do it plenty of times.

Oh and the best thing I can tell you about removing the chain is getting bolt cutters or a dremel.

Sounds good man, I can do that. What about the riveting tool? I do need one of those right?

Chris from cycle gear said I could borrow his stand but I'd rather work on this tomorrow. I can't replace the chain until next week because I'm waiting for my sprockets to come in.

you have to buy the rivet link seperatly? I saw it sold seperatly on Cycle Gears website but I figured it's incase you want to cut your chain and make it smaller or something and needed a new link.

And I agree about Pat's...it's about an hour from here, possibly a lil more

That's cool man, I'll just try jacking up the front end like Los said and if it's not working to well then I'll let you know. It'll only be for this weekend to get the wheel off. I already have the tires at Cycle Gear, they're just waiting for me to bring the old ones in.

hey man don't worry about the front stand. I got the wheel off the ground. Now I'll just need the rivet tool. I won't need the tool until next week when I get my sprockets in.

Lobo have you actually tried AutoZone to see if they rent it out?
