Gas Can on sale

I'm new to MotoHouston, so I hope this is the right place to post.

I'm prepping for track day this weekend at MSRH. Being a first-timer, I needed a gas can. Looking around town, a 5-gallon can runs $50 everywhere I look. But Cycle Gear has them on sale right now for $25, and in a form well-suited to motorcycles, to boot. Looks like a good deal, so I thought I'd share. (After I picked one up this afternoon!)

FYI don't leave that thing empty and closed. I did and I guess the fumes that were still in destroyed the oring and the cap and cracked it. My expensive gas can is useless til I go buy a new expensive cap for it.

Thanks for the heads-up.

I went by Bellaire & 59 this afternoon. Merill helped me out. $25 + tax. Previously I'd looked into hardware & auto-parts stores: $50. I didn't even think of Walmart: I live two blocks away but I make a point of avoiding it.

I was told gas at MSRH was pretty pricey: my ride (BMW F650) won't see any advantage in race gas: it'll still be the slowest one out there!
