Overpass collision closes I-45 northbound near Conroe

Just FYI

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/...s/6374874.html

Drivers on Interstate 45 near Conroe can expect traffic delays for hours as work crews clean up after a heavy piece of equipment being hauled on trailer hit an overpass this morning.
Officials said a heavy excavator on a flat-bed 18-wheeler hit the underside of a bridge northbound at Wilson Road about 9 a.m. No injuries were reported. The load did not fall from the trailer.
The bridge is under construction and engineers have blocked the freeway as they try to determine if the overpass was damaged, said Dinah Massie, spokeswoman for Houston TranStar.
The freeway will be closed at the site until about 5 p.m.
Motorists are diverted from the freeway at Loop 366 South and are detoured around the blockage, Massie said. They can reenter the northbound freeway at Loop 336 North.

Motorcycling in itself is not inherently dangerous. But to an even greater degree than the sea, it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessness, incapacity or neglect.
