! I hit a small one a while back, with my knee, had a nice beak slice in it, but my jeans weren't torn. Limped for a couple days, luckily no splatter though. I'd say you did exactly the thing you should, sucks about the mirror though. You can rest easy knowing the bird paid appropriately for its mistake!

I had a rather large bug maybe a locust hit me in the knee one time and made my foot come off the foot peg and gave me a limp for a couple of days. Glad you kept it together.

I had a red 85 RX7 once upon a time. I killed two cardinals in two different states with the front grill. I guess they liked the color and it was love at first site or something. LOL.

Being an aircraft mechanic I see my fair share of bird strikes. We had on a couple of weeks ago that went through the leading edge of the wing and tore up some hydraulic lines and wires inside the wing. It's like battle damage. Looks like someone shot something at the aircraft.
