I think your being picky to a point where it's just unnecessary. . .
Why don't you just test ride the bike when you have the money to buy?
Your gonna want to test ride it anyway to make sure everything is fine. . . .

Your scared? My original post I edited up there said to get a 250.
I don't think thats out of the question with your responses . . .
You make it sound like you don't know too much about bikes other than what you read in a magazine. . . .

All sportbikes that aren't 1000+CC turbo'd have controllable power. . .
You just have to know how to control them

Twisting the throttle on a 600 is nothing like on a 1000.

Just get whatever is comfortable for you, If you think the power is too much on a 750 then a 600 might not be right for you either.

im being picky about wanting a 2006 gixxer 600 or a 2006 636

but i argue when people say a 1000 or a 250 or a 750 or an 04 or 07

so keeping this thread on track ... should i go with a gixxer or a 636? knwoing already that i need to test drive them both
and who wants to let me test drive their bike?

Obviously, but it still goes back to KNOWING how to control/turn the throttle on a bike.
The only time my bike isn't "controllable" or I should say, out of control is when I pull off my street and pin the throttle in first leaving a 20yd streak of rubber

a 600 would be more forgiving though if i an intermediate rider were to accidentally blip the throttle at a wrong time as compared to a 750 or 1000
or if i need to take off real quick on the highway i would flip a 1000
because going 50 on a 600 i was lifting the front end because of my weight and im not quite comoftable with that yet

Dirtbikes and sportbikes are two different animals.
Much like 250s and 600's. A little FYI, current I-4 600's aren't too forgiving either
