+1

I had a buell xb12r and if it wouldn't have been totaled I surely would've trusted them with it. They see harleys in there all the time IIRC. Not to mention they give a MH discount!

the 1k service is simple. check belt tension, fluid change, check torque on critical fasteners, etc. just basically a once over to make sure everything is still put together the way its supposed to be. nothing you can't do yourself.

you can do it yourself just keep the receipts, i can get ahold of a friend that does work on them. he's a mechanic at kingwood harley, and he does stuff at his house on the side. i also know of a place in willis that does oil changes and is harley certified for like 90 bucks. i do hear good things bout Motorcycles Unlimited, as soon as my warn is up thats where i'll be taking mine. good luck

1000 mile service

This service is by far the most critical.
It involves many things mentioned already and a few more.
Clutch adjustment, primary chain, pushrods, charging system check, all fluids, critical fasteners, intake gasket inspection, spokes tightened if applicable, tire pressures, suspension, swing arm bushings, belt adjustment, etc.....
If you have a shop manual and buy HD fluids keep the receipts and you would be fine by warranty standards. Only HD dealers are HD certified. M.U. is a great shop and I would trust them to work on my Harley.
Most techs that do not work on HD's do not know how to properly adjust the clutch or primary chain. If they do not have a factory or like manual then do not let them work on it. The torque specs on these bikes are sensitive and make worlds of a difference.
