I took one in the neck at 70 one time. I'm not allergic or anything but the venom straight to the throat hit me so hard that I had to pull over because I got dizzy & nauseaous.

that does suck. I had it happen to me also. I was riding in Illinois in Sept and it was a cool day so I had my leathers on. All of the sudden I feel this sharp pain in my arm pit and I was what the bam hits me again. I pull over rip off my jacket look down my shirt and there is a hornet on my shoulder. I just start swinging and punching myself until I squished it. Not a fun day.

Could have been worse, a friend hit some wasps on 3090........wearing a mesh jacket. Mesh does NOT help at all with wasps.

I don't know that I would have been able to maintain my bike. Been stung senseless by hornets/wasps as a kid, but it would SUCK while riding.

I was riding with my face sheild open and a yellow jacket flew in and lodged beside my left ear.
I could hear it making little buzzing noises while it tried to get out.

It was all I could do to stay in control while I pulled into a parking lot.

I was amazed when I got my helmet off that he just flew away without stinging me.

Another time I ran into a honey bee and got stung on the neck, it happened so fast I didn't have time to react. When I got stopped I felt my neck and grabbed something, it was the stinger. When I grabbed it the stinging got alot worse and I saw that I had finished injecting myself.

In central Texas right about sundown you sometimes get these big grasshoppers.
At 70mph it feels like you are getting shot.
I completely ruined a brand new shirt that way, I never could get the stains out.

A buddy of mine told me he got stung this way with a wasp. Got caught in between his strap and his cheek and stung him 4 times by the time he dug it out. Oh and you're not supposed to grab at the stinger to pull it out, all you're doing is squeezing the excess poison in. You gotta scrape it out with a coin or something flat! I learned that the hard way.

Yeah, Ray already broke it in for me. This was the last large they had in stock and it was on a high shelf. He jumped up to get it down, was able to swat at it but didn't grab it right. It fell over on the carpet and rolled to the end of the store! LOL...

I had just bought a pair of biker style shorty fingerless gloves from Wild West that morning but they were defective. I stuck them back in the pouch and was on my way to return them when this happened!

The irony...

Dude, I counted like 20 hits. All over my jacket, jeans, helmet, headlight, handlebars, and hands. That dries HARD and sticky, real quick.
