Ignition Retards

I left a message with these folks , hope this works with the 04 and up sporty.
My factory ecu is not letting me make any power with boost, it is fighting it all the way with the timing. I would like to run the this unit with a boost switch that activates when it sees boost and then would and allow for mo powa'

d4k retardmodule

Anybody know of any ignition systems that would work, not only allow for advance but also. most dont allow the , because they are mostly set up for non boost folks.

commonly refered to as a "btm" boost timing , rule of thumb 2deg for every lb of boost. you can just take out all the timing for the amount of boost, if it will run down low. advanced timing + boost = detonation=blow up motor. most of the btm stuff is for efi though, good luck. Ps you might call WOLF at discount motorcycle tire, He is the Harley guru, end all be all, of Horse power.

How about one of the Schnitz boxes? Of course you will need to talk to them about the Harley application but I bet you can make it work.

The EFIR-9R-00 Module allows the user to the ignition timing on the ZX-9R, 2000-2003. This is a Must for Bikes with Nitrous

The EFIR-9R-00 also has a timing advance feature that can be used when running the bike without nitrous. This timing advance is applied progressive between 5,000 and 6,000 RPM. Stock timing is used below this rpm to prevent detonation. By advancing the engine at higher rpm, a horsepower increase of as much as 2% can be seen.
This unit plugs right into the factory wiring harness, and is 12 volt activated. Hook it right up to your nitrous solenoids or a pressure switch on your turbo bike, and the timing to save your engine.

It is programmable with dipswitches from 0-16 degrees of timing , and also has dipswitches to adjust the built time from .250 to 4 seconds.

EFIR's are easy to wire, but you have to wire them correctly. If not wired correctly the bike won't start, or will shut off when it's activated, so read first then wire!
