Just got a ticket

85 in a 60. Cop was like magic appeared from no where. I was following a truck wasn't even going that fast. Didn't even think I was doing 85.

Any way since it is 25 over I guess the Defensive driving class is out of the question?

Someone said David Sprecher is the way to go but he wanted 650 to get someone out of a 81 in a 60 ticket.

Other option I am guessing is deferred adjudication is that 90 days or 5 months?

Thx for any help had no tickets on my record until today.

really all depends on the judge man. but usually its 90 days no violations. most places dont check or violations anywhere other than their own district though.

Guess yami have more room, I have no way to squeeze a radar under the windscreen, I just pray to sweet baby Jesus when I come over the top of an overpass and look way ahead to see If the black and white are farther up.

deferred adjudication is not something the judge is required to give you if you request, a few years back I had a judge refuse to let me take it.

I got pulled over doing 95 in a 55 . I was going faster, like 120 but there was this truck getting off and I slowed down, I was tucked in and when I came back up I see the cop on my mirror and I was like IT . So I go to court and the judge was actually pretty nice and told me that hed take it off my record because it was my first violation and that Id have to take a defensive driving class, and stay clean for three months. I got lucky that I got out easy, and my insurance didnt go up

Also try for def driving. Sometimes if your situation is not the greatest ie:job loss or something, judges will still grant Def Driving...besides it never hurts to ask! Also Sprecher is great! I worked for many attys over the yrs and thats who they used. I have only used him twice. Nothing else he could get it dismissed or at worst def driving. good luck!

Maybe I have bad timing, but every post of yours that I see is taking about going outrageous speeds; and unless your profile info is incorrect, you only have at most 8 months of experience. I really hope you're wearing full gear and carry full coverage because doing 120 on any highway in Houston is asking for it.
